On Thursday, April 26, our Hoppers and Hoop Troop will be putting on two shows for parents and Humbercrest families!
The same show will be at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm in the Main Gym. The shows will be 30-45 minutes in length. Everyone is welcome! There will be limited seating. The doors and Snack Stand will open 30 minutes before showtime.

No time to eat dinner before the show? The SoFun Committee will be running a snack stand before the show and we will have pizza for sale at $2 a slice! All proceeds will be split between the Hoppers in support of thr fundraising drive for Heart & Stroke, and the Hoop Troop so they can purchase some much needed new equipment.

The 14th annual Humbercrest Bingo Night is slated for Friday, May 11 and we need your help as a volunteer and / or securing prizes to help make this edition of one of our most beloved events the best ever! If you’ve driven your child to school this year, you’ve probably been stuck in the huge lineup of non-moving cars in the Drop Zone located on Brookside Ave. OWe need to fix this for our collective sanity and the safety of our children!
How is Drop Zone suppose to work? It’s simple! Between 8:45 and 9:00 am each school day, one volunteer (e.g. a parent, grand-parent, high school student) stands in the Drop Zone on Brookside (East side of school) and opens car doors as they pull in, assists kids getting out and into the schoolyard, and keeps the traffic moving!
We’re looking for a volunteer supervisor that would communicate with Drop Zone volunteers and monitor the online volunteer sign-up form to ensure daily slots are filled. We will provide the online volunteer sign-up form and communicate the request for volunteers to all parents. What we need is someone to ensure volunteers show up and know how to do the job! Heck, if we had a real keen volunteer who wanted to be the daily Drop Zone manager, and forego the volunteer recruitment list, you could do this task yourself!

For those interested in attending a future meeting of the Parent Council, the complete list of dates is now available. Meetings occur once a month from October until June, except for December and March when there is no meeting. Meeting time is from 6:30 – 9 pm. For complete details, visit our Parent Council page.
Humbercrest Public School thrives on the involvement of all members of the school community and we are looking to increase our parental involvement at the school this coming year. To be alerted to volunteer opportunities, complete our School Parent Engagement Form and return it to your child’s teacher. You can include information for up to two members of your household and check off any volunteer opportunities that may be of interest you.
