Drop-Zone is a Parent Council initiative intended to provide parents with a quick and safe way to drop their kids off at school each day. One volunteer and one staff are on duty on Watson Ave to help kids out of your vehicles and into the supervised schoolyard from 8:45-9:00 am.
Thank you to those parents who have already signed up!! But we need need VOLUNTEERS every day! Please consider donating 20 minutes of your morning! Volunteering once or twice a month goes a long way in helping keep our students safe!

Our first meeting is THIS Wednesday, September 18 at 6:30 pm in the school library (2nd Floor). Childcare is available in Room 13. No RSVP required – all parents are welcome!

If you are interested in taking on a leadership role, or if you would like to be considered a Member at Large and can’t attend the first meeting, you can declare your intent by CLICKING HERE to download and print our Self Nomination Form and either e-mail it to Vice-Principal Shauna Davidson or drop it off in the office prior to the first meeting. We are starting the school year with a change to our lunch programs. Real Food for Real Kids is no longer operational, and we are changing from Lunch Lady to Rose Reisman’s School Lunch Program – www.kidslunch.ca.
We will be piloting it on Fridays for 6 weeks. The first lunch will be on Friday, September 27. Registration is now open! CLICK HERE for registration info, or look for the flyer in your child’s backpack. School Password: HPS111
If the program is successful with families, we will be providing additional days throughout the week. All the food is purchased locally and made in a nut free kitchen. Orders can be made online and lunches will be delivered to our lunchrooms. For every meal purchased, Parent Council receives $.25 towards fundraising.
Welcome Back! School resumes Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
You will be notified of your child’s class by e-mail on Friday, August 30 in the late afternoon. Please do not call the school. The e-mail will be sent from Principal Simona Emiliani. If by Friday evening you have not received an e-mail (and all parents/guardians have checked their e-mail and Junk Mail folders), then you can e-mail email@example.com to update your e-mail address and have class information sent to you over the weekend. School staff will also be on hand Tuesday morning to provide teacher/class info.
