Representatives to Parent Council

Parent Council also has a number of special Representatives that report each month.  If you are interested in any of these roles, please contact

TDSB Ward 7 Representative:

Trustees are elected to represent specific political entities called wards. Ward council meetings provide an opportunity for parent representatives from schools in the ward to meet with their local school trustee to discuss issues of common concern. Ward council meetings are also an opportunity for the school trustee to inform parents about matters under consideration by the Board and get their feedback.  Humbercrest selects 2 main reps and a back-up rep to attend Ward 7 Meetings.  Our 2016-2017 Reps are Jane Dimoff, Jane Craig and Heather Robbins.

Community Representative:

In order to ensure good relations between the school and our surrounding community, a member of the community is asked to attend parent council meetings.  Our 2016-2017 Representative is Ross Murray.

Support Staff Representative:

At each parent council meeting, a representative from Humbercrest’s support staff team is asked to bring forward ideas and concerns on behalf of all support staff.  Our 2016-2017 Representative is TBD.

Teacher Representative:

One or two teachers are asked to attend parent council meetings and bring forward ideas and concerns on behalf of all teachers.  Our 2016-2017 Teacher Representative is TBD.

Division Reps (K-3, 4-6, 7-8):

It is beneficial to have parents that represent all three divisions attend the parent council meetings.  If the chairs do not feel that all grades are being represented, a request may go out to parents to identify a representative for a certain division.
