Fall School Yard Clean-up

Annual Fall School Yard Clean-up
Saturday, October 20
9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Rain or Shine
We are looking for Humbercrest families to donate an hour or two THIS SATURDAYto help clean-up our school yard!  Come with tools for light gardening, perhaps a yard waste bag or two…  and your coffee mug for complimentary coffee!  The donation of perennials from your yard are also very welcome!  There will be jobs for the whole family – so bring the kids!  It looks like a great fall forecast so please considering donating some time to get our school yard cleaned-up and ready for winter!  For further info, please contact Georgina at: [email protected]

Parent Pub Night

Humbercrest Parent Pub Night will be on Thursday, November 8th starting at 8:00 pm at 3030 Dundas West in the Junction.  The evening will include an amazing DJ, Dancing and Silent Auction!  Come on out for a fun night with other parents and get to know new people at the school! Book your babysitter now!

If you would like to volunteer or you can DONATE A PRIZE for our Silent Auction or you have items you can donate, please contact Sandra Carr or Lesley Scullion.

Parent Council Meeting: DATE CHANGE

Our first Parent Council Meeting previously scheduled for September 19 has been rescheduled for Thursday, September 27 at 6:30 pm in the School Library (2nd Floor).  Childcare will be available in Room 13 (Kindergarten Room on main floor).

There are elected positions available (Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Ward 7 rep, Member at Large,  etc.), in addition to other volunteer positions (ie: So FUN). If you are interested in a role but lack the confidence or knowledge, we will happily provide the support. While all Humbercrest parents are members at large and may attend meetings, we do require a minimum number of elected members at large.  If you would like to volunteer for a role, nominate an individual or have ANY questions, please email Heather at [email protected] or leave a message with the school.

Click here to Sign-up!  To make this program a success, we are looking for ONE (1) PARENT EACH DAY to volunteer between 8:40 -9:00 am.

The job would involved:

  • get the pylons and sign and safety vests from inside door 7
  • ensure cars do not park in the Drop Zone between 8:40-9:00 am
  • keep cars moving by helping get students out quickly so parents do not have to get out of thier car or park
  • put away the equipment at 9:00 am

Classroom Assignments
