Welcome to Humbercrest Public School, Toronto, Safe Arrival # 416-394-2374

Parent Council Meeting: DATE CHANGE

Our first Parent Council Meeting previously scheduled for September 19 has been rescheduled for Thursday, September 27 at 6:30 pm in the School Library (2nd Floor).  Childcare will be available in Room 13 (Kindergarten Room on main floor).

There are elected positions available (Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Ward 7 rep, Member at Large,  etc.), in addition to other volunteer positions (ie: So FUN). If you are interested in a role but lack the confidence or knowledge, we will happily provide the support. While all Humbercrest parents are members at large and may attend meetings, we do require a minimum number of elected members at large.  If you would like to volunteer for a role, nominate an individual or have ANY questions, please email Heather at [email protected] or leave a message with the school.

Reminder: School Access Hours

Just a friendly reminder about school access and hours. We are working with your children to have them prepared with all of their belongings to go home at the end of the day. If your child forgets something at the school (homework, notices, etc.) please include a note in the agenda for their teacher to let them know. The school is open after 4 pm for extra-curricular activities, the YMCA and Parks and Recreation in the in the basement and on the first floor only. There should be no students or parents entering any classrooms after 4 pm unless arrangements have been made previously to meet with a teacher. It is important to remember that the YMCA does not open until 7:30 am and access to the school before that is not allowed.

Thank you for your support and understanding in this matter to keep Humbercrest safe and secure.

Terry Fox run

Humbercrest is proud to be participating in the Terry Fox School Run.  We plan to hold our runs, by class, on Tuesday September 25 (rain date October 2).  Last year we raised an amazing $4745.55, far surpassing our $2500 goal.  We hope we can beat that total this year, and we’ve set our goal at $4750.  Please join our school community and support this worthy cause, click: http://www.terryfox.ca/HumbercrestPSToronto to be taken to our school’s fundraising page. The Terry Fox Foundation has a great reputation with 82 cents of every dollar going directly to cancer research. Thank you for joining us in the fight against cancer.
